REQUIREMENTS : Successful Applicants should be in possession of a Grade 12 Certificate and a Minimum of National Diploma in Agriculture (NQF 6). Job Related Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years applicable experience. Job Related Knowledge: Applicants should have understanding of Public Service Regulations. International Agreements, Conventions and Bilateral Agreements bearing on to phytosanitary, sanitary and meals best matters. Relevant law and regulations, norms and standards. DUTIES : Application and enforcement of law and worldwide agreements. Conduct inspections and make tips in phrases of the applicable prescripts and take excellent actions. Conduct searches of passengers, motor vehicles, and many others with regards to unlawful imports of regulated agricultural products via the terrific means, i.e. bodily inspections, sniffer puppies or X- ray machines. Prohibition of the sale of imported and domestically produced agricultural merchandise that do now not comply with the applicable legislative prescripts. Seize and confiscate non-compliant agricultural products. Handle consignments destined for export that do no longer comply with the necessities of international agreements or rejected through the Assignees. Provide advisory services to stakeholders. Liaise with and supply recommendation to stakeholders (e.g. trade organizations, industries, non public quarter institutions, importers/exporters, legal representatives, assignees, etc) concerning the operational software of relevant Acts, prescripts, certification schemes, norms and standards. Supervision of staff. Allocate and make sure fine of work. Ensure capability and development of staff. Ensure ability and improvement of staff. Ensure suited utilisation of equipment. Assess team of workers performance. Apply discipline.
